CELEBRITY CHEF RALPH PAGANO THANKS UM/JM BURN MEDICAL TEAM AFTER SUFFERING LIFE-THREATENING BURNS IN AN EXPLOSION

What:

Celebrity Chef Ralph Pagano is set be discharged from Ryder Trauma Center on Thursday, August 10, and will thank his medical team at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Burn Center for saving his life, and therapists at Jackson Rehabilitation Hospital.

On June 22, Chef Pagano suffered burns over 30 percent of his body during a kitchen explosion while opening a new restaurant in Bimini. Pagano was immediately flown to UM/JM Burn Center at Ryder Trauma Center, and remained in the Burn Intensive Care Unit for several days. Pagano has undergone four skins grafts for burns sustained mostly to his hands, arms, legs and face. He has also received intensive inpatient occupational and physical therapies to regain use of his hands and his ability to walk again. 

During a press conference, Pagano will express his gratitude to the medical team that saved his life, and his medical team will speak about the challenges he faces in his long recovery ahead.
